The E³ Research Laboratory is one portion of the overall Combustion and Fuels Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. The majority of the activities are directed by Professor Caton, and conducted by his graduate students.

The E³ Research Laboratory conducts research and engineering activities in three main categories: Engines, Emissions and Energy.
