Dr. Bryan Rasmussen, Texas A&M University

 

Dr. Rasmussen is currently an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Texas A&M University, and is the original developer of Thermosys starting in Nov. 2000.

Dr. Andrew Alleyne, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

 

Dr. Alleyne is currently a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and has helped direct the development of Thermosys since inception in Nov. 2000.

 

 

Current Research and Development Staff

Abhishek Gupta, TAMU

 

Abhi joined the Thermosys development staff in Feb. 2006, and is developing the finite difference models to complement the moving boundary models currently available in Thermosys.

Tom McKinley, UIUC

 

Tom joined the Thermosys development staff in Aug. 2006, and is developing custom models under a Sponsored Research Agreement.

Young-Joon Chang, TAMU

 

Young-Joon joined the Thermosys development staff in Jan. 2006, and is using Thermosys to develop model-based control strategies for distributed AC&R systems.

Neera Jain, UIUC

 

Neera joined the Thermosys development staff in Aug. 2006, and is developing custom models under a Sponsored Research Agreement.

Matt Elliott, TAMU

 

Matt joined the Thermosys development staff in Apr. 2006, and is developing an experimental testbed for validating Thermosys models of distributed AC&R systems.

Bin Li, UIUC

 

Bin Li joined the Thermosys development staff in Aug. 2006, and is developing custom models under a Sponsored Research Agreement.

Aarti Ramani, TAMU

 

Aarti joined the Thermosys development staff in November 2006, and is developing custom models under a Sponsored Research Agreement.

Alex Bleakie, TAMU

 

Alex joined the Thermosys development staff in June 2006, and is creating a library of heat transfer coefficient correlation subroutines to be included with Thermosys.

Brian Eldredge, UIUC

 

Brian assisted in development from Aug. 2004 to July 2006, and is currently an engineer at Schlumberget in Houston, TX.

Michael Keir, UIUC

 

Mike joined the Thermosys development staff in Aug. 2004, and is  using Thermosys models to develop Dynamic Fault Detection and Diagnosis of AC&R systems.

Rajat Shah, UIUC

 

Rajat assisted in Thermosys development from Aug. 2001 to Aug. 2003, and is now an engineer at Behr.

Joel Jeddeloh, UIUC

 

Joel developed the graphical user interfaces (GUIs)  from May 2002 to Aug. 2003, and now resides in California.
