| Thermosys is a software package for simulating and
analyzing the behavior of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Find out
more about Thermosys — the
latest in vapor compression cycle dynamics simulation technology. Documentation for Thermosys is available. References to other research efforts regarding advanced control of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems are also available. |
Control design is simpler with the
automatic calculation of linear state-space models for each
component. Customized components are easily modeled using simple graphical user interfaces to input specified parameters associated with each component model. |
Thermosys is a joint development venture between the Thermo-Fluids Control Laboratory at Texas A&M University and the Alleyne Research Group at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The combined resources of the Energy Systems Laboratory at TAMU and the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Center at UIUC provide extensive expertise and experimental facilities.
Thermosys research is focused on the dynamic simulation and control of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. Details on availability of the software tools can be found in the Downloads Section. In addition to providing state-of-the-art tools for dynamic simulation and control design, Thermosys researchers conduct original research in the areas of air-conditioning control.
