Here you will find practical information for engineers, researchers, and those that are looking for technical assistance with a challenge. If you are interested in my background as a faculty member, professional engineer, consultant, teacher, and student, I encourage you to examine my vita, here. One of my primary interests is the assessment and improvement of education methods in the sciences and engineering, particularly those that focus on critical analysis. Some useful references for a basic understanding of critical analysis and its applications can be viewed here. Web resources for engineers, educators, and professionals are available for your use by clicking here. These web tools are used frequently during my projects as an engineer and consultant. The practice of engineering and research involves a wealth of various disciplines and aptitudes. In many cases, the job of the engineer is to apply concepts in a timely manner to design a part, diagnose a problem, or optimize a process. Due to time constraints and the frequent handling of concepts without great familiarity, the engineer is forced to rely on skills that have not been refined because of poor academic instruction, inadequate conceptual treatment in reference books, or incorrect assumptions. Some of the included illustrations of these challenging concepts may encourage the engineer, researcher, or designer to reevaluate some core technical beliefs. Click here to review the most recent topics added to the website. I also enjoy serving clients as a technical consultant. If you are looking for a turn-key solution to a current project or simple manpower technical assistance, you can learn more about my services here. Have a question, comment, or opinion?
